Still rocking the Sony Minidisc? It’s the new millenium, and Sony has been making new efforts to jump back into the portable music player market by bringing back the Sony Walkman brand. The brand that taught the world about the portability of cassette tapes is now, to no surprise, continuing to perfect the integration of their portable mp3 player technology with their cell phone handset expertise. While the Walkman brand is no longer the pioneer in the portable music player industry, Sony Ericsson makes a great candidate in this maturing cell phone/mp3 player market, with the W580i. Now, after its first couple weeks on Rogers Wireless, the cell phone has gone live on the AT&T network. With its mp3 AND video capability, memory stick micro connectivity, 2 MP camera, and bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP compatibility (allows for stereo bluetooth use), we think this just might give your Minidisc player a run for its money.
