Even though Sony Ericsson doesn’t seem to be a huge competitor on over here in the states, the second quarter numbers posted by Sony Ericsson will prove otherwise. It seems as though Ericsson is moving up the ladder at a pretty nice pace given the fact that the revenue shot through the roof at $4.3 billion, a 37% increase over last years figures and unit shipments reached a staggering 25 million units. This is great news for Sony Ericsson as it shows its investors that it’s doing something right and as far as the industry goes, this is a strong showing on how much Ericsson has improved given that competitors such as Motorola are posting declining numbers in sales and overall units sold. Kudos to Sony Ericsson for their great job and I am looking forward to future Ericsson releases.
Cheers,
John

It seems as if Sony Ericsson is trying to think outside of the box with their latest concept titled the Seesaw. The phone is a concept designed by Karsten Willmann’s and it has a very unique look to it. The phone itself is a flat bar phone with a built-in jog dial and a keypad layout that is unique even to my standards. What gives the Sony Ericsson the nickname “seesaw” is the fact that on the back of the phone there is a piece of the phone that actually allows the phone to move like a seesaw once it’s put on its back. Now this phone is unique, I will give it that, but I’m not to sure if the actual design of the phone would be able to withstand everyday use. It looks flimsy and unless it’s made out of some tough material I can’t really see this phone lasting to long if it’s exposed to the slightest bit of abuse. Lets hope they build more on the design because it looks like a sure seller for Sony Ericsson.

Cheers,

John
